Partnership with RSS: Satellite technology for greater transparency in the CO₂ market
New partnership: Using satellite imagery from RSS, we monitor our forests in real time – ensuring greater transparency, security, and trust in the CO₂ market. A milestone for credible climate certificates and sustainable forest management.
Progress through remote sensing: How satellite data make our forest projects smarter
We are pleased to announce our new partnership with the renowned remote sensing specialist RSS – Remote Sensing Solutions. Together, we are bringing cutting-edge satellite technology into the forest – delivering greater transparency, security, and efficiency in the voluntary CO₂ market.
Through high-resolution satellite imagery, we will in future receive precise, comprehensive, and up-to-date data on the condition of our forests. This enables us to identify changes such as drought damage, pest infestations, or storm damage at an early stage and respond in a targeted manner. At the same time, the technology allows us to make the positive effects of our sustainable forest management visible and measurable – for example through biomass growth or vitality indicators.
For our CO₂ certificates, this means real-time verification directly from the project area. All relevant information about the project region, ecological condition, and CO₂ sequestration is digitally documented and linked to our tokens. This creates maximum traceability – for forest owners, companies, and investors.
With this cooperation, we are setting a new benchmark in CO₂ trading: technology-based monitoring instead of reliance on trust alone. The partnership with RSS strengthens our certification model and underlines our ambition to offer the most credible and transparent solution for CO₂ compensation from sustainable forest management.
We thank RSS for their trust and look forward to a forward-looking collaboration – for the protection of our forests, the stability of the climate, and the quality of our CO₂ tokens.
