1. Personal collaboration with our forest partners
Our projects start with direct partnerships with forest owners. The "person-to-person" connection is not a marketing term for us, but a lived practice. We are in constant exchange with our local partners, supporting reforestation, protection measures, and forestry developments over the long term. This guarantees not only ecological effectiveness but also regional value creation.
2. Permanent monitoring thanks to satellite technology
greenkeeper does not rely on one-time certificates or theoretical modeling. We use modern satellite technology to continuously observe our forest projects. We do this, on the one hand, to record regular growth rates and thus real CO2 storage performance and, on the other hand, to detect changes in the inventory – such as fire, climate influences, or pest infestation – at an early stage. In the event of a fire, for example, we can block the greenfee®Tokens on our platform and notify certificate holders.
3. Transparent lifecycle and retirement process thanks to blockchain
Every single greenfee®Token is documented via a public blockchain infrastructure – from issuance to final retirement. This allows companies and auditors to track at any time where the greenfee®Tokens used for CO2 compensation originated and when and for which specific project they were retired.
This seamless traceability creates trust and audit security – a central aspect for companies with ESG or CSRD reporting obligations.
4. Low certification rates for long-term sustainability and reliability
Unlike many providers, we do not sell the entire storage capacity of a forest project. A significant part intentionally remains unused. On the one hand, we only certify the percentage of a forest used for sustainable timber management. Because only wood that is used long-term also stores CO2 long-term. At the same time, we ensure that your greenfee®Tokens are additionally protected in the event of storm damage, drought, or pest infestation.
